I have a couple nativity scenes with Mary holding Jesus....they are by far 
my favourite!  Jesus was a real baby and he needed to be close to his 
mother;; the same as every other babe.

I have a beutiful picture [I'm not even sure where I got it] of Mary, Joseph 
and Jesus sleeping in the manger; bedding down with fresh straw and Jesus 
laying at Mary's breastand Joseph behind Mary....
