Working with a 19 day old infant, emergency Cesarean at 34 weeks and
SGA.  Mother has copious milk supply and infant now at breast
exclusively.  Mother troubled with severe postpartum bleeding, low
hemoglobin and OB has prescribed five day course of Methergine.
Both Peds and OB say no breastfeeding.  Checked Archives and Dr.
Jack said it is probably safe in relation to a 2 year nursling.  What about
this preemie (she just made it to 4 pounds!!!)?    Terri Shackelford, RN,
