I am sorry but I cannot let this misinformation, now repeated twice, stand.
Although I also used to tell parents (based I what I was taught) that the
squeeze through the vaginal canal is helpful in removing fluid from the lungs, and
that was why C-S babies had more problems with "wet lungs" (TTN= transient
tachypnea of the newborm), it is simply NOT TRUE!  Even though it sounds
logical, there is absolutely no evidence behind it.  Research with animals shows that
there is no difference in lung fluid with vaginal vs C-S deliveries.
