Kate, you said at the outset that you wanted to show people that normal,
intelligent people nurse older children, and you absolutely accomplished
this goal!

You presented the problem of intellectually believing in child-led weaning
while wanting to set limits and stop nursing your older children so very
well.

You looked like such a sensible, ordinary, caring mom.

Dr. Phil repeated his misinterpretation of the AAP's advice right on the
show. I think I'll take the time to point this out in writing to the AAP's
pr/media relations people so they have a chance to contact the show and ask
for a correction. :-D

And Dr. Phil also promised on air to present all the different views on
weaning time on his web site, so now's our chance to email/write/phone and
push for him to do just that.
