I might be missing the point, but I wonder if there are two things going on
here, the actual increase in the incidence of ADHD without the normative
effects of BF as a nourishing behavior and product, and the possibility that
some children are "set" to exhibit this biochemically ( if that is possible)
and may from the beginning  be more challenging to breastfeed. I am thinking
of husband's cousin's 5th child, first 4 all nursed easily, well and long,
and this one was mutually weaned at 4 months, after months of clamping and
biting and not being happy at breast. ( I knew not one iota of BF knowledge
then, except that I planned to do it someday, so I don't know what else might
have been going on...)
