I realize not everyone has been in this business (promoting breastfeeding)
for as long as some of us -- thus the following information:

Nestle's is FAMOUS not for it's candy bars, but for its strong-arm promotion
of infant formula in Third World countries, using all sorts of devious
methods and techniques. It has caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands
of children around the world in the last few decades. It was the subject of
a major world-wide boycott in the 1970s, and was one of the motivating
reasons for the World Health Organization to develop the Innocenti
Declaration and the WHO Code for the Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes --
to counter Nestel's corporate practices. The boycott was dismantled for a
few years, but is now back in full swing, as Nestle's is once again in major
violation of the WHO code in many countries. Many many people who have
never heard of LactNet, such as my sister, who has no children, are avid
supporters of the Nestle's boycott because they care about the health of
survival of all the world's children.

Also, Carnation is a subsidiary of Nestle's and makes infant formula, and is
one of the main restaurants in Disney World and Disney Land. Thus, Nestle's
has a big presence at the Disney parks through all the different Carnation
outlets there.

I don't boycott Disney or its products, but I do boycott Nestle's.
Hershey's makes excellent candy bars!
