I don't think there is any doubt that a baby *can* grow well on
breastmilk alone for 18 months.  But grow well is not quite the same as
thrive.  He has a good chance of becoming iron deficient and anemic
though, and it is possible he will lack other nutrients such as zinc.

Not a good idea.
