    I have to appologize that I only snipped the info on the zinc (so I'd
get the right dosage). The date I printed it out is Jan. 15, 2000 and the
name listed is Patricia Gima (I don't even know if she wrote the post or was
responding to someone else's question), as it is just a snipit that I used
for info's sake.

I realized in reading the snipit you posted, I hadn't edited it very well,
my daughter was 11 when we started the zinc supplements (she was about 20
lbs below height with her weight) and she just used the recommended dosage -
it took several weeks for her appetite to improve and almost a year before
her weight took off. And who knows if might not have been the zinc, but now
although still small, she is not off the charts any more.

Just my personal story from someone who's had three children's slow weight
gain (#2 was just in the first six weeks) all blamed on breastfeeding.
