Ooh, Winnie -- I think you are on to something.

I am reminded of a talk I saw Lactnet's own Nikki Lee give several years ago, about BF and Sexuality. She had done some survey research on the initial return to sexual relations, by BF moms, after the birth of the baby. Something like a whopping 95% said that they were having S-E-X again to please (appease?) their partners. I'm not talking coercion here -- a loving relationship will of course include moments when one partner is more interested in physical expressions of that love than the other.

I remember thinking to myself: Yup, that was true for me.

I am also chuckling to think of what my friend told me, as we walked our dogs in the woods: She has reached that Golden Age where, when it is her birthday, her idea of "celebration" is to tell her dear husband "Leave me alone and go back downstaris to watch TV."Liz Brooks, JD, IBCLCWyndmoor, PA, USA
