The reason this mom was told not to breastfeed for 48 hrs post op is to allow her body to clear the powerful anesthesia meds that a baby should not be exposed to-it has nothing to do with the 5 little incisions from a laparoscopic surgery.
Also, if one has gallstones in the gallbladder, taking olive oil, epsom salts, etc will do nothing as the only way to remove them is through surgery. They used to use a medication that was thought to slowly dissolve the stones but it rarely works very well. You can't flush the stones from the gallbladder or common bile duct with anything.Stones are formed in the gallbladder, not the liver. This site that someone posted is absolutely full of untruths-my husband is a general surgeon who skimmmed though it just now and he said that this article is dangerous, hoping any reader will not listen to a word it says.
