Last summer, I believe, the Gerber rep in Houston was very busy. She approached me saying she had samples of breast pads for nursing moms to give to me. She told me Gerber doesn't have a breast pump anymore or make formula. I told her that I worked primarily with low income women on the WIC program and could use all the samples of breast pads and milk storage bags she would give me but I wasn't sure my population would be buying these products afterwards. The written information she sent me was ok as far as promoting breastfeeding, except for the promotion of their nipple cream. I never got my samples. I have heard the same thing about the Gerber gel pads being inferior and I saw the Gerber nipple cream in the store yesterday. Was a hodge podge of various ingredients not recommended on nipples. DIsplayed right up with the Lansinoh. Cheaper, too.
