(Spoiler Warning - Aussie ER fans may want to skip this post so as to not give away plot lines)

ER (American TV show) broke new ground tonight. Susan's hubby Chuck was shown "breastfeeding" his child. Carter walked in on him -Chuck had his shirt open, holding infant to breast, and was using a S & S. (He called it a S & S, although "moms who know" told me it was a Lact-Aid, since it had a bag). He explained to Carter what it was, and said it let Dad's bond, just like moms, once you "get over the sore nipples".

For those who don't follow the show, Susan is an ER nurse, currently on mat leave, and Chuck is (was) a paramedic. The family was there to get the baby checked for phyloric stenosis(sp?), he has reflux.

This was really just a minor incident in the show. Susan had earlier remarked that Chuck "was more maternal than she was".
