Since I work in a NICU I need some wisdom from those of you who work with
older breastfeeding babies and their moms. This baby is 7 months old and had
been sleeping 9-10 hours every night. About 3-4 weeks ago she started waking
up 2-3 times at night and breastfeeds. Mom says that her production is better
at night.
They are just starting solids last few days. The only other thing that changed
is that they weaned off her phenobarb about the same time she started this.
Could that be the reason? She said that they had weaned it slowly. Mom is
exhausted and wants to know what to do. Could a growth spurt last this long?
Please e-mail me privately or to Lactnet. TIA
