You may have really hit on something here.....
I like this even better than the automobile comparison.
Of course no-one will recommend we quit driving, but why not advocate for
single-only sleeping.
Imagine the boom in the furniture and bedding industries!!!
We could go back to those "Dick Van Dyke / I Love Lucy" bedrooms with twin
beds!
And I bet there would not be half the speculation about where sex would take
place!

This idea is one I already use with mothers all the time...Of course baby
sleeps better with Mom, baby is used to sleeping with Mom, has been sleeping
with Mom since conception...How well does Mom sleep if partner is away?

It takes me 5-6 nights to sleep well when my DH is working away.
