If you are using the ones from the manufacturer that are sterilized (I
believe these are the ones they sell to hospitals) there should be no need
for any further sterilizing before first use.  Do they sterilize feeding
tubes, syringes, etc. that come in sterile packages before using?  I doubt
it.  It seems to be a case of wanting (consciously or subconsciously) to
make breastfeeding (direct or indirect) more complicated than it needs to
be.
