Both my girls have described breastmilk as wonderfully sweet. My now 4
year has told me it tasted like garlic after we had a very garlic meal.
But still sweet. I've tasted my milk mutliple times. At the Southern
California LLL Conference I went to a session about breastmilk and taste
and lots of flavors get through to the milk. I asked her if she had
ever asked older nurslings about taste and her response was she didn't
think 1-2 year olds could express themselves well enough. A few of us
laughed (people i knew) because we were all nursing 3 plus year olds. I
think it would be an interesting survey to ask older nurslings about taste.

I've made mashed potatoes out of milk. It was good. That was my
youngest's first solid, potatoes mashed with mommy milk. I had a lot of
extra milk--didn't want to waste it.
