I enter this debate with great trepidation as I do not know the beginning,
all in between, and where it will end.
On pint is 16 fluid ounces or 480 ml (close enough for this debate).
Normal saline solution is 0.9% Sodium Choride in water.
The amount of salt in 16 ounces of water needed  to produce a normal saline
solution would be 4.3 grams by weight (close enough again for not using
Class A Balances to weigh out and not using distilled water).
Thus, the amount of salt (sodium chloride) needed to make 16 ounces of
normal saline solution is 0.15 ounce by weight (4.3 grams).

Bonus:
Electrolyte Replacement Solution for Adults
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp corn syrup
6 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate
6 cups water
Mix together all ingredients.  Refrigerate.  Shake and stir well before
serving.
