I apologize if Lactnet is not the appropriate place to ask this question, but
I searched the archives and didn't exactly find what I was looking for.
Working Mom's that are my clients have had good luck using the Munchkin slow
flow nipple (preemie, 0-3 mo. size) that fits the playtex disposable bottle.
The babies don't have problems switching between Mom and bottle, but now the
WalMart stores in our area ( the only places that carried them), are no longer
carrying them. Parents could order them direct from Munchkin but I doubt they
will go to the trouble. I know breastmilk is best direct from the source but
for those that can't do that 100% of the time are there any nipples out
there (in the USA) that make the baby open wide like at the breast, and also
have a slower flow? Some babies will take anything and switch back and forth
with no problem but those aren't the ones I'm worried about. Bye the way ,
I pleaded with the WalMart store manager but to no avail. They probably
weren't making enough profit on Munchkin items. Thanks in advance for your
help. Also, C. Brussel , if you're out there I did not get your paper on
formula feeding and I've misplaced your note where I jotted your e-mail
address . I'm sorry this was so long. Judy in West Georgia, USA where the
April showers started a day early.
