Does anyone have a favorite bottle nipple for this situation:
Baby is 4 mos old, mildly hypotonic, micrognathic, hyperactive gag, jaw
tremor during feeding.
Does well on Haberman, but mom wants to go to a regular bottle.
This baby cannot tolerate working too hard, she takes an hour to feed
with a slow flow nipple, but also cannot tolerate too much flow, she
loses a lot of milk from the lips if a higher flow nipple is used. She
is doing it deliberately to avoid being overwhelmed by milk, perioral
stimulation before feeding does not help.

Mom is now using a Nuk stage 2 latex orthodontic medium flow nipple that
I like to use sometimes, with her mouth on the fat base of the nipple,
not the little nubby tip. With this bottle she can get 6 ounces in a
half hour, without fluid loss from the lips, but gets squirmy and
unhappy during the feeding.

Any ideas? Breastfeeding did not work for this baby, and we tried all
the tricks. I recommended an early intervention evaluation many times,
but mom and dad are not ready to face that yet.
