Missed you all while I was nomail most of the summer. I have a mom who is
planning to involve me a great deal when her twins are born in a couple of
months. I am most anxious about this case for the following reasons. She
contacted me four years ago with her first child and breastfeeding was a major
struggle. Her milk supply never did get to where she could meet the baby's
needs and latching on never really did workout well. Shr finally gave up after
about 6 weeks of struggling. This mom has PCOS and is extremely obese. She
had a very difficult time conceiving this time, finally did and miscarried.
Now, through IVF, she is indeed pregnant with twins, which in and of itself
is amazing. For the last several months I was pinning my hopes on
Domperidone, but oh well forget that idea. I just cannot imagine how we will tackle
twin nursing with this mom. I am a twin mom myself, so I know the challenges
(and there are many), but with the help of the great twin pillow, a good pump
and tincture of time those babes got nursing down pat and continued on for
four years! Today, she wrote and asked me to find her a Maya wrap sling and I
am thinking -- how will I find one to even fit her AND, how will she be able
to use it anyway. I cannot imagine how this will play out or how I can
prepare for it. Any suggestions, welcome. Thanks, Ann Conlon-Smith, IBCLC

Breastfeeding Saves Lives If more infants worldwide are exclusively fed
mother's milk-no food or formula until the age of six months-at least 1.3 million
lives could be saved this year, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)
said recently.

If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything...
