Reading Jay's post about how many wet diapers and meconium diapers little
Patrick has had reminds me of my own new one. (Jacob Allen was born on Jan. 12
weighing in at 10 lbs. 2 oz. - and was a wonderful home birth.) I was wondering
how much colostrum he was getting, he was passing a lot of meconium, but didn't
seem to be wetting a lot of diapers. As we were getting up from bed one morning
he spit up a generous amount of colostrum - babies really are better than
breastpumps in getting out that colostrum!

The only problem with knowing a lot about breastfeeding is that you obsess about
how much your new baby is getting.
