First, let me say how wonderful you guys are! *I'm not crazy.* I
think I'm crazy when I get upset about these things because all around
me are bottles, bottles, bottles and I am the only one who seems
bothered by them. Then I post here & realize that I am not insane (or
at least that I have found a home with other people with my same brand
of insanity. <g>)

Now for the update:

I spoke again with the teacher responsible for the baby bottle money
collection jars (and let me tell you, these things are HUGE-- like
3-4 feet tall). She was not happy to see me and informed that she "is
the wife of a pediatrician and not every woman can breastfeed." You
see where I am going. The *Abbot rep* picked out these containers,
BTW, and purchased them at Walmart (it just gets worse and worse).
They thought the bottles were "cute."

So, I called the March of Dimes. They weren't in the least concerned.
However, I did make an appointment to speak with the community leader
of the Walk for Babies event tomorrow afternoon. I will take my copy
of the WHO code, the AAP statement and the Healthy People 2000
guidelines.

On a related note, there is a candy sale going along with this Walk at
my school. Guess who makes the candy? Ne$tle. It would be funny if
it didn't seem so insidious.

Keeping the faith despite the seeming lack of other true believers,
Teresa G. in NC
