Ok, Guys, Jennifer states, "I so agree with Jaye. There is absolutely NO
POINT in being an IBCLC if you have some other HCP credential, because only
that credential has any value and your IBCLC is a useless, expensive waste
of paper."

Wait just a minute! Jaye is a good friend, I don't remember exactly what her
post said, but surely those of us that are RN's have a place in this
profession? I would not give up my nursing license for anything; I practice
as a part-time Doula and LC, from my home. I don't feel that my IBCLC is a
useless, expensive waste of paper! Unless, of course, they decide to stay
with that SOP! There are MANY of us out here that are RN's and proud to be
LC's. My hospital paid my way to Georgetown's lactation program and paid for
my original certification exam, so apparently they wanted me to possess that
credential?

Respectfully,

Royce Anderson, RN, IBCLC, RLC, CD (DONA)
