I have learned through the unfortunate experience of a friend, that a tubal
ligation can cause milk to dry up :( The tubes carry much more than just
released eggs, and when they are blocked, hormones don't get where they
need to go. My friend swings from menopause to false pregnancy and
everything in between. Her milk dried up quickly and completely at 4mo
postpartum (and this is a mom who nursed previous kiddos past toddlerhood,
so imagine the heartbreak!) though she had only a brief hospital stay and
baby picked right back up to no avail. Milk returned with a vengeance a
couple years later and continues to flow even though nobody is nursing.

I did some research with her, and it turns out she is far from alone.
Tubals have rotten crazy side effects for a lot of women, and at least in
the USA, physicians have trouble believing it.

I hope that your client is *not* one of these moms, and that getting baby
back to breast will bring back the milk, as well. Just be aware that
despite her best efforts, it might not happen :(
