Two of my perfectly healthy, perfectly normal co-sleeping babies slept long
periods at night (5-7 hours) from 6-8 weeks old. They never had any problems
with weigh gain, weaned at 18 months and 26 months. Even my two non
co-sleeping babies (crib in my room...up against my bed) slept through the
night early on, again with no weight gain, hypoglycemia or dehydration
problems. Average means just that, some earlier than others, some later.
Let's not unnecessarily scare parents if the baby seems fine in all other
respects.
