I learned many years ago the 6-8 wet diapers but these were cloth and 5-6
disposables were acceptable. Mainly because they are so absorbant, mom
doesn't notice as soon and they obviously hold more. 2-5 healthy sized
BM's are also acceptable, with 4 being an average to look for by day 4-5.

My sources have always been LLL and "BF and HL", Ruth Lawrence, etc. Are
the higher counts some have mentioned just from hospital policies or other
resources?

Thanks,

Cheryl
