Well, I do know that if a physician develops the reputation for being a
"zealot" about breastfeeding, they will get a lot of patients and a lot of
moms will seriously consider and/or try breastfeeding.  Personally, I don't
know of any mother that I lost from my practice due to my "zealot" views on BF
but I do know that some mothers have sought me out because of it.  IMHO, I
think all physicians, especially pediatricians, should be branded "zealot" for
BF.  OBTW, I just read that 62% of US mothers now breastfeed their newborns.
Is that the latest accurate figure?
