Endurance sounds like putting up with a difficult situation for a long  
time, IMHO. I like the word "sustained" better as it defines a relationship 
that  is ongoing in a positive way, and hopefully lasts for as long as the 
mother and  baby are willing. This is how I define the nursing relationship that 
lasts  longer than the customary length of time mothers in the US usually 
nurse.
