Fairly recently ILCA had listed on it's web site information reg: feeding
frequency of normal newborns in the first 24 hours after delivery. The
recommendation was that newborns feed a minimum of 4-6 times in the first
24 hours of life, provided blood glucose is at or above 40. This information is
no longer posted on the ILCA web site...I am certain I have seen the same
recommendation in other literature but am unable to locate it..... if anyone has
seen this information and knows the source, I would greatly appreciate your
input.
