We have recently had a mild blowup by one of our young, new Drs. about the
pressure we seem to be giving him to be supportive of breastfeeding, well the
storm was able to be quieted. But I came up with what I think might be a new
slant for our Drs to see our point of view....I explained to him that we are
"Human milk representatives" artificial baby milk has it's corporate
"representatives" why can't mothers! What do you think, the Dr. kind of
chuckled when I told him I left my corporate suit at home. He asked if we
had free samples..I said you bet, I'm sure I could find some donators. It's
kind of a chuckle but it might just get them to think about why we are so
passionate about our jobs. Mommies don't have much except the good Lord and
a few fanatic lactation nuts.
