a woman came to see me once who had had a stroke and had very limited
mobility on one side (could still walk but couldn't hold her baby). she
didn't have any problems breastfeeding and even said she probably could not
have bottlefed (too much work with one hand). what she needed help with was
using a sling someone had sent her. she called me three weeks later and said
using the sling had saved her life (she could only hold the baby upright
facing outward with one arm, otherwise; you should have seen her change a
diaper, she had adapted well to everything else).
