Go get an apple and take a bite out of it.  Now take a second bite, but stop
halfway through.  Where have you embedded your lower teeth?  In the unbitten
part of the apple, or in the niche you created with the first bite?  (When
my DH and I played with this just now, we agreed that having your lower jaw
in the niche is far easier... but he went for upper jaw in the niche to keep
his lips clean.  Oh well...)
