I do not recall this being a case of a SAHM. I agree with Margery. 'Using'
BF as an excuse for mom to deny visitation rights to dad is not a positive
slant on breastfeeding in general. In the case of a newborn, I do not think
that overnights are a good idea but for an older infant, they should be able
to work together so that dad can continue to be involved.

What if mom is already working outside the home and pumps during that time?
What harm is there for the child to spend a night with dad? If the mom is
adamant that dad gets no overnights, the court may rule that he is entitled
to weekends or even longer. Then all parties involved lose out.

What we have here is a situation (like so many) where a couple decides mom
will stay home in the best intersts of the baby-daycare is intentionally not
chosen. Then the father walks out and turns everything upside down--now
separation from the mom is okay, b /c he wants what he wants. Suddenly, the
best interests of the baby are less important than the will of the father. A
mother who is desperate to maintain her child's well-being should not be
accused of trying to damage the relationship with the dad.
