Deann, I know it was almost an offhand observation (boo, bad pun!) , but I
am so glad you washed your hands in that home. They are living in a rich
stew of flora and fauna when it comes to their microbiology mix, and you
would definitely be bringing in some new and different "bugs!" I think more
and more about this in the hospital where I work. (Another advantage of home
birth but I won't go there....)

My daughter lives in a "dry cabin" outside of Fairbanks, Alaska and the
baths and showers are few and far between. But if someone was coming in to
help with a wound - it would be worth the water.

I suppose you could also bring along your own hand sanitizer!
