Hi Jeannette,

There is little information about maca root use during pregnancy and 
lactation. While it is generally considered safe as a food, the Natural 
Medicines Comprehensive Database suggests that the use of maca (as a 
dietary supplement) should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation 
because of the lack of safety information.
