Pardee:  I was tickled by your description of weaning your son at 4 1/2
as early weaning (I assume you mean 4 1/2 years).  It's wonderful how
long you nursed; you've surely reduced your risk of breast and ovarian
cancers among many other things.  I share your discomfort about sharing
the personal.  My youngest weaned herself at a little over 3 years, and I
have trouble sharing that even among my physician colleagues, lest I be
perceived as "out there".  I certainly do not mention it to patients.
I'm looking forward to the day when that taboo is gone.  Alicia.
