Still thinking about the tanning question - Now I'm on a roll concerning
silly reasons to wean. Thinking sideways and putting this in another context:

We rarely consider the risks of other body functions requiring two people.
Say, for example - sexual intercourse. When would it be hazardous for a man
to have sex with his wife?  Hazardous for whom? What are the consequences
(physical and emotional) for both the receiver and giver of this white fluid
if the act is potentially harmful to one or the other? Or if the fluid is
temporarily (or permanently) harmful only to the recipient?

Breastfeeding isn't exactly like sex (alright, don't go off on this tangent
now!) but is a mostly mutually pleasurable act that has benefits to both
parties. If we'd hesitate to tell a man "no sex" unless for a really, really
important (like, life-threatening) reason, we should hesitate just as much
regarding the "no breastfeeding" admonition!
