Yeah, you'd think so, but with those darned packs there's absolutely no
concept of needing to save or stretch the supply or make what you have go
farther or anything else that would motivate change. They are free to the
hospital, there is an endless supply, the formula reps are just lurking and
waiting to replenish the supply 'cause the more they give away the better
for them...see what I mean?

Well, another way of saying it is that there's no value attached to those
packs - as far as the hosp. is concerned, they just flow in like air
(actually, prob. less value attached to form. samples than to hosp. air,
come to think of it - they have to monitor and filter and temp-adjust the
air flow, while those packs just appear on the storeroom shelves.)
