It was my understanding that the parents were made to evacuate b/c it would have taken that much longer to rescue that many more people instead of being the rapid transition that it was.  It is saddening to think though that they very well could have run out of ways to clean the bottles of EBM or even ran out of presterilized bottles for these babies.  I suppose the heat was good for the little ones in any case.  Makes me want to go down and wet nurse all the premies though. :(
