I imagine it is because BF babies are spending their energy and perfect
brain food growing and developing their brain.  Cows milk is perfectly
formulated to grow a large beast quickly.  It is important for a cow to be
able to get a move on when danger is present.  They need to be big and able
to move.  Human babies are meant to be carried by their moms and grow a big
smart brain to out think those cows!
