    There is probably much more to this than we know. For one thing, the 
brain makes all the chemicals that other glands in the body does, such as insulin 
and other hormones. If a mother's intention is very strong, she can alter her 
chemistry. 
    I remember someone, was it Elizabeth Horrmann, saying that adoptive 
mothers in other countries don't have trouble making milk but in the US, adoptive 
moms are told that they probably won't make a full supply...........so they 
don't.
    Candace Pert, in her fabulous book, Molecules of Emotion, describes some 
of the wonders of the brain.
