I spoke to mom yesterday...the one with thrush/yeast/nipple cracks etc.
Well...she is doing GREAT!  She said "whatever is in that cream <Jacks APNO>
it is wonderful"  within 12 hours of apno, diflucan for mom and baby and
nystatin cream to bottom of baby she is back to excuslively nursing and
having no pain!  Cracks are already starting to heal.  The nipple culture
came back negative--most likely a function of little drainage and user
error-mine:(.   But since she is dramatically improved...then I agree with
someone's private post...the cracks are yeast related!  So I am going to do
no oral antibiotics. I had already given mom the antibiotic lecture and
reinforced completing the course of diflucan and it's importance.  Well she
feels so great she is a believer in anything I say right now and promises to
follow my instructions!   Ahhh another good day in the life of the "boob
lady" :)
