Hello everyone,
This is my first time writing on Lactnet. I've enjoyed reading since I
signed on with you. I have worked with mothers of babies in intensive care
for 10 years. I am IBLCE certified, and I hope to expand a volunteer
organization that is currently "under construction." My question is to seek
out ideas for increasing milk supplies. I have run across every situation
you could imagine, and I am ready to expand my options. We use Reglan,
normal increase of fluids and rest, frequent pumping, pumping after
breastfeeding for the infants who can breastfeed. A lot of our babies are
gavage fed for a long time. I am open to homeopathic remedies, etc. These
moms are desperate to breastfeed, but they can't always keep their supply
up just pumping. Thanks.
