I know a mother whose four-year-old had many symptoms of diabetes.  I don't
remember what the actual test results were, and haven't kept up so don't know
current status.

What I do know is that at the time, the doctor recommended _increasing_ the
number of nursings.  Mother said that doctor said that weaning would be
counterproductive.
