Ok, I know I will probably get flamed for this since I hold a seemingly
unpopular view of the whole immunization *debate*. I also know that from a
bfing stats standpoint the tracking thing sounds like a good idea. But I am
disgusted that our government finds it *necessary* to track our children in
such a way, it's unconstitutional, and is being challenged in a few states
for that very reason. Some states, like mine are requiring that you
register for this data base in order to get a birth certificate. We should
instead be lobbying for this kind of info to be included in a census type
form but with no names attached to it. This type of tracking is still not
going to give an accurate number of those nursing and extended nursing,
especially since there is a growing number of nursing moms either not vaxing
or delay vaxing.
