Kathy,

This was not true for me.  I concluded that the early return of my
menses had to be due to an over supply which didn't lend to my babies
having to do alot of sucking but mostly gulping.  Even with trying to
get the supply more under control with each successive child, my menses
returned by or before 6 months.  My kids did not suck their fingers
either. We had a family bed, I nursed frequently and on demand. No
bottles, or pacifiers or supplementary feedings.
