When my husband Ron was diagnosed this spring with a malignant brain tumour,
one of my first thoughts was "I must relactate." It is from all of you that
I learned how truly amazing our bodies really are.

I won't share the details of that part of our journey here and now because
my purpose in posting today is to tell you that my husband, Ron Graham, died
on Sunday night. He died after enjoying a late supper; the last thing he
took was breast milk. :-) He was so pleased to be able to support all of us
in this way, by acting on his own beliefs and embracing the idea that he
could be loved and nurtured and healed and comforted with human milk. He
knew more good than just his sustained health would come of it.

I want to thank this lactation community for all of your support, your
comfort, your unwavering belief, your dedication, and your courage. Each of
you has made this your passion, your life's work, and the combined force of
all that effort here in this list is such a powerful tool.

I would never, ever have thought to give my gift to Ron had it not been for
the many years I've spent learning from all of you who give the gift of time
and passion to this list.
