Hi, all

Just wanted to add a note to the discussion about the 10th Step.

For the last year or so, I've been working with Virginia Thorley to co-edit
a book, tentatively titled "Mother Support--The 10th Step and Beyond," to be
published by Hale Publishing later this year. We have chapter authors from
around the world--Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Great Britain, India,
Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Scandinavia, South Africa, and the US. The book
begins with a preface by Anwar Fazal, WABA Chairperson Emeritus, and
includes a historical perspective of mother support, why it is important,
examples from around the world, and overcoming barriers to move forward.
We're hoping that the variety of experiences and descriptions of what mother
support looks like will be useful to community leaders and others seeking to
implement the 10th Step in meaningful ways.

All royalties from the sales of this book will be donated to WABA.

It's been a delight working with Virginia Thorley, who conceived the idea
for the book, and the 26 authors from around the world--thank goodness for
email!

Thanks

Melissa Vickers, IBCLC, with no personal financial interest in the book
Huntingdon, Tennessee
