Hi Trish,
Can mother re-work her pumping schedule? I am thinking she gets there at
6am or so. Maybe she brings the baby with her, still asleep and nurses him
around 8a? Perhaps she can feed him before leaving for work (or pump)
around 5a and then pump around 9a? Then she can pump again around 1p (4
hr), and I am guessing she leaves work around 4p? (10 hr day). That would
be another feeding or pumping time (after she is off the work clock)?

Also, if the baby only nurses one side each feeding, can she pump the other
side *while* he is feeding. Even a hand pump could work, or some sort of
hands-free set-up?

That would be 2 pump times 9a and 1p. I would try to see if she can work it
where she goes no more than 4-4.5 hrs. This is not ideal, of course. If
there is anyway that she can continue to negotiate with her employer, that
would be an option. Perhaps she can have her 3rd break, but agree that it
is unpaid time?
