Be ready to swine with disgust for these recommendations particularily
those for
obstetrical sites.
This is not evidence based medicine and will result in many, many
infants
not receiving breastmilk.  Just when I think we are getting somewhere
this sort of ignorance occurs!

Don't think, I am not unaware of the dangers an virulent influenza
virus.  But many women with colds and regular flu's
will be seperated from their babies.  Mothers at home who do not have
pumps will have to either breastfeed anyway
or choose formula.  Given that they consider an infant born of a mother
infected; it is not even rational to separate mother
and child.  These babies will be more likely to non-exclusively
breastfed leaving them further at risk!

Between this and the upcoming move to recommend early initiation of
contraception
in breastfeeding women--I have lost faith in the CDC.
